Adam's Charity Concert in Vancouver (November
14, 2003) reports by JC and me
The concert started at 8 PM but we came at 6:30 PM. A Caucasian lady told us that they will open the door at 7 so we waited. The time had arrived, we rushed in with gifts, flowers and banner on our hands and already saw many people standing outside. I saw Winnie Liu, Michelle, Winnie Leung, May, etc. World Vision's staff, they asked us to snap a group pic with our banner, "Adam Chow Goon, WE LOVE YOU." We asked them to paste the banner somewhere so Adam could see it but unfortunately, someone came in with our banner and came back out saying that there was no room to paste it in the theater. So Quisha, Donna and Cindy were basically holding them throughout the concert HAHAHA. When we entered the door, there were many tables selling stuff for charity that included Adam's phone cards and stuff. I saw flowers placing in front of the door for Adam (they were pretty). They wouldn't let anybody enter the main entrance (to the theater) until 8 so we waited anxiously outside then suddenly somebody came out saying that no cameras were allowed. We didn't care and entered at 7:50 something with cameras and loads of stuff in our hands. I concert started 15 minutes late as there were people who arrived late. It was full house like 95% of the audience including young and old hahhahaha. Gosh Cindy and I were holding 2 huge bouquet of flowers, whistles on our necks, glow sticks and stuff, but our seats were sooo small. When I told one of the men in charge that we came here to see the concert and we wanted to take some pics back so why couldn't we take pictures? He went somewhere, came back and said, "You may use the camera but no flash ok?" I reluctantly nodded hahahaha. Then the lights were suddenly turned off while a screen on the stage was showing clips of poor children who needed money. A lady came out blah blah blah blah then Adam appeared!!!!!! He was wearing a red suit, veryy handsome. Gosh I was so excited, quickly snapping pics nonstop WITHOUT FLASH. My hands were shaking, heart beating nonestop; therefore, I forgot what song he was singing. Does anybody know what was the first song Adam sang? Then he sang Rotation, Forty Something I think. hahahahe his apron had a lot of A's and C's on it, very cuteeee. He looked so cute with the glasses too. After that he cracked jokes and the audience laughed hahaha it was a good atmosphere. The dancers took Adam's red pants off and we saw jeans under it....hmm I forgot which song he sang next but they again tore the bottom of his jeans off and it turned into shorts. He started singing Hong Kong Liu Lei and everybody laughed because it was funnyyyyyyy LOL. During the sixth song (Oh Gal), a man raised his hand signaling me to present the flowers to Adam. I was sitting in the center so it was hard for me to get out. I had to say, "Excuse me" to 8 people LOL. One of my hand was holding a bouquet of flowers (roses) and the other hand were presents for Adam. I passed the flowers to him, shook his hand and like Donna mentioned before, I couldn't get what Adam was saying so I was mumbling and shaking HAHAA. He was so smart, he knew I couldn't understand so he immediately spoke English, "What is it?" I didn't think and answered, "Your picture" (Actually it was a crystal with his picture imprinted on it) anyway it would be long if I told him all that and he might not understand hahahhaa. Then he said, "Oh my picture, thank you." I replied, "You're welcome, I love you!!!!" He quickly said, "I love you too" then I heard some people laughing and screaming right? LOL HAHAHA finally.....Gosh it was the best moment I had in Vancouver. After the World Vision
introduction, with the curtains still down, the narrator says, "Now,
World Vision is proud to present Chan Gai Look, oh no, its Cheung Mo Gai,
oh no, its the emporer, oh no, its Chor Lau Henung.." A beautiful
voice from the back (you guessed right , it's Adam's) says:" all
correct, coz I am Cheng Siu Chau." The curtains lifted, dancers came
out, they danced a short dance.. then Adam came out from the back to center
stage...(people cheering, hands clapping, whistles blowing , camera flashing)...and
there was Adam , standing still in the shimmering red suit, eyes sparkling,
smiles dazzling, taking it all in, the ultimate Prince charming, doing
nothing, just mesmerizing.... then he sang the Lau man wong dai song (so
the fan said, I can't remember, I was fumbling with the camera and kind
of dazed throughout, he may have danced too). Adam went in to change costume and I saw people running from the audience holding a long dragon with them heading toward the stage. Our Adam came out again with a white outfit this time looking extremely DASHING, singing Zu theme song, X song that WE ARE FAMILIAR WITH (sorry I don't know the title), Kingdom and Beauty, The Misadventures of Zoo theme song. Once again, a man signaled me to present Adam's flowers then I pointed to Cindy since I already gave him mine. So Cindy presented him another bouquet of flowers. I tried to snap pic but darnnn it was soo fast...Cindy went back fast and Adam's assistant (a male) took it away fast too, how PITIFUL. After he finished the song, there was a 10 minutes break. When I came back, I saw a huge piano already placed on the stage, then Adam came out dressed in black suit looking VERY SUAVE. WOW I LOVED THAT OUTFIT A LOT. He then sat on the chair keying in some notes. I think most of the audience thought he was just playing around. However, he was REALLY PLAYING the piano by himself. Many applaude there....he sang an old song (no idea what the title was) but he sang it REALLY WELL. No wonder he is called "Ban Yeh Chow." Lee Yuen Wah (a DJ) came up to the stage presenting Adam flowers after he finished playing the piano. LOL I didn't know it was Lee Yuen Wah until a fan told me. They were very cute on the stage since they'd know each other for a long time! He thanked her for the flowers and then he said, "Music" hahahaha then it played 999 Roses. Gosh I LOVE HIM SINGING THAT SONG...IT WAS SOOOO GOOD yet so freaking short. He could sing better than the original singer hehe. Okie the next part was really funny. He walked down the stage and randomly selected a lady from the audience, escorted her to the stage and presented her flowers. I believe that the lady was ARRANGED because it was IMPOSSIBLE for him just to pick ANYBODY. Then he sang Oh My Darling hahhahahaha the audience laughed because he kept acting "intimately" to her while she rubbed a vase next to her (what the heck? That was weird but he was cuteeeee). I really have no idea what was the name of the next song, it was Cantonese, sounded new to me but indeed EXCELLENT. Okay then guest star came out duet "Ngoi Choi Sum Noi Luen" with Adam. I personally like Lee Si Kei's voice more. Gosh the guest star hurted my ears LOL. They continued by singing an X song (I think I've heard it somewhere, it could be one of TVB's theme songs). I also loved that song :) Adam's eyes were sparkling, behaving very gently. After they finished, this guest star took like 20- minutes of Adam's concert. I WAS ABOUT TO SLEEP ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ LOL. The man in front of me put his camera up (so did I) while she sang about 9 songs continuously. Finally, Adam came out again YESSS, he sang Heaven Sword Dragon Sabre. I remembered a lot of people screamed and applauded LOL I guess they liked Mo Kei gor gor hahahaha. Well, he continued singing Luk Siu Fung right after that. His voice was so strong and confident. I felt sorry for Adam because he had to sing so many songs nonstop. However, his performance and professionalism were incomparable. HHAHHA after the song, he poked one of the dancers with his sword but the dancer didn't die HAHAHAHA I was cracking up. Suddenly some girls called, "Chow goon" awwwww his expression was really cute. Adam is such a cutie!!!!!!! Do you feel that the concert was short? Adam then thanking the dancers, his sifu, etc. darn stupid time passed so fast when we were enjoying it big time. After he did that, he sang The Story of Book & Sword exactly like the version we heard on CD. His voice was EXACTLY like that. A lady beside me kept singing together with Adam geeeee woman let me listen to Adam! She seemed like knowing EVERY SINGLE song that he sang LOL. SHoot then Adam walked in, everybody was like ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE for a few minutes LOL it was sooo loud HAHAHHHAA then somebody played piano in the background. We thought Adam would come out but goshhh the piano kept playing for a FEW MINUTES. I was really impatient looking everywhere for Adam. Then YES our man came out ONCE again singing Lonely Wanderer (a Japanese song). GUESS HOW HE DRESSED? A shiny hat, furry costume, bare chest LOL HE LOOKED FREAKING HANDSOME AND SEXY! I loved that costume too hehe. Okie, then he sang a duet Chi Chai Kei (Purple Pin) with the guest star. No offense but she couldn't sing it well haahhaa but better than Lizard :) He made joked again after that, then sang "Yum Sing" (in Misadventures of Zoo where they drank wines and stuff). HAHAHA as you've noticed he "forgot" (yeah right) the most important song he supposed to sing, then the audience yelled, "Chor Lau Heung," he obliged hehe such sweetie :) As he was about to finish, the audience clapped, yelled and screamed really loud. He walked around the stage, bowed and thanked the audience. He saw our banner held up (on the left side of the theater) and he blew kisses with surprise, "Oh wow, I love you too!" he walked to the center, I waved and blew whistle at him, he blew kisses back and waved. Gosh Adam makes you feel good because he is extremely considerate! Hmmm during the concert, Adam shook hands with the audience twice assisted by his bodyguards. I heard some people screamed, "leng jai," "Chow goon," "ban yeh Chow," and "Chor Lau Heung" for the encore. THE END. I wish the concert was longer. Those who attended the concert, don't you think it was too SHORT? Geee if it wasn't the guest star who took SOME of his time then we could have seen Adam more ahhhh. I'm no bias but Adam's performance was SUPER. He sang, danced and corresponded well with the audience. He wasn't stuttering nor making any mistakes. IT WAS A PERFECT CONCERT. Adam is one heck of a handsome man in person. He is thinner, younger, lovable, sexy, handsome, sweet, nice, sweet, cute, gorgeous, gentle, etc....HAHAHHA. His hand is soft and very warm... I would like to thank Al, Fanny, Cindy, Donna and Quisha for accompanying me in Vancouver. Without you guys, I wouldn't know what to do or how to get to the theater. Fanny and Al, you are best you know that? Cindy and I were very touched by your friendly offer. Second of all, I'd like to thank Winnie Liu (kisses to you hahahaha), Winnie Leung and World Vision's staffs for helping us to see Adam at the backstage. Your kindness really touched me deeply. We had lots of fun in Vancouver. I'm looking forward for that day once AGAIN. |
